Just God

Justice is a powerful word in our world. We all want it but disagree about where it’s needed and what it looks like. So, what would it mean if we let God define it? In the Bible, justice is depicted by the image of a balanced scale. When used of how people are treated, justice means that there is balance between what one deserves and what they receive. All people are created in God’s image. And justice, in God’s eyes, happens when people are treated according to what His imagine in them deserves. However, in our sin-stained world, many are given much less than this. While justice will be fully realized in heaven, God intends for His people to bring heaven to earth by working toward the right and good treatment of all people. This series will help us see where God works for justice and how we can join Him in it.
